Day 2 Escazu

Well we took it reeeeaaally easy today. The only things we got accomplished was Escazu downtown for lunch and Walmart. Sounds pretty exciting, no? It was. We did not get lost! Well maybe once quickly. We managed to order food (thanks to the pictures on the menu), Max put on a show and we board a car seat, diapers, baby food and a Baguette with Cream Cheese.

Highlights:
  • Great Breakfast
  • Sasha slept for 3 hours this morning and Max and I played
  • Driving in this crazy traffic without rushing
  • Watching tons of school kids in Uniform getting off school and as Max mentioned "They get off early". It was around 12.15pm
  • Having a long lunch break with a nice, famous Costa Rican 'Britt' coffee
  • WARM SUMMER RAIN
  • Beautiful People
  • Max and Sasha were great today
Downside:
  • Food and Walmart are almost as expensive as in the US (Car Seat was $100) and Lunch was $26 for 2 dishes, 2 soft drinks, a coffee, a sweet and a banana
  • It gets dark at 6pm. Something I really need to get used to
Tomorrow I was hoping to have the guts to drive into San Jose again to either go to the Children's Museum of to the Teatro Nacional and the Native Costa Rican museum.

Planing our next step: Monteverde and La Fortuna
